Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, Asbury University (2011)

Mrs. Chaffin has taught in both Virginia and Kentucky at public high schools. Her experience includes teaching Spanish 2, English 9-11, Journalism, and Yearbook.

Mrs. Chaffin is originally from Louisville, KY. She attended Asbury University, from which she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Spanish with a Minor in Missions. Following college, she completed her graduate work at the University of the Cumberlands. She has a Master of Arts in Teaching English.

As a true Kentuckian, she loves UK basketball. When it comes to football, however, she is a Tennessee fan. She and her husband enjoy watching the Volunteers in the fall, and the Cats in the winter. In addition, Mrs. Chaffin loves to spend time with her husband and son, especially when it involves doing something outdoors.

In January 2015, Mrs. Chaffin and her husband moved to Bluefield as her husband accepted a position as the pastor at Brushfork First Church of God. They have both felt very welcome to the community, and are proud to call Bluefield home now. Mrs. Chaffin is glad to be a teacher at Graham High School, especially since she has the opportunity to teach Spanish. She loves languages, and always enjoys reading and writing. Her favorite book is the Bible, and her favorite author is C.S. Lewis.
